LAMBRUSCO
Lambrusco is a brightly colored grape variety used to make a fruity, light-hearted sparkling red wine mainly produced in Emilia-Romagna but also in northern Italy’s Lombardy region. More accurately, it is a collective term for a group of grape varieties. More than sixty Lambrusco varieties have been identified so far. The most famous are Grasparossa, Sorbara, Salamino, Marani and Maestri. Almost impossible to confuse, it has immediately recognizable characteristics: ruby color in shades ranging from light to dark, a lively and evanescent froth, and a floral and fruity scent. It has good tannic structure, medium body, with fresh, moderate and pleasant acidity and a low alcohol content.
