MONTEPULCIANO

MONTEPULCIANO – RED GRAPE FOR RED AND ROSE’ WINE Montepulciano is one of the most prestigious Italian red grape varieties grown widely in central Italy, most notably in eastern Abruzzo, and the Marche and Molise regions. Montepulciano is ruby red in color, full, bright, and often with purple reflections. It typically exhibits aromas of ripe blackberry, mulberry, forest floor, sour cherries and maraschino cherry, with a moderate level of alcohol.

It pairs perfectly with lamb but also with typical dishes of the Abruzzo tradition such as meat lasagna, fresh pasta with tomato-based sauces, braised meats and game.
