MONTEPULCIANO  –  RED GRAPE FOR RED AND ROSE’ WINE Montepulciano is is one of the most prestigious Italian red grape varieties grown widely in central Italy, most notably its eastern Abruzzo, Marche and Molise regions.

Wine colour is ruby, full, bright, often with purple reflections. A wine of a good alcohol content, in the scents stand out ripe blackberry, mulberry, undergrowth, sour cherries and maraschino.

Perfect pairing with lamb but also with typical dishes of the Abruzzo tradition such as lasagna with meatballs, fresh pasta with tomato-based sauces, kebabs, braised meats and game.
