Insolia or Inzolia is a grape variety grown in both Sicily and Tuscany. It is a crisp, dry white wine, in blends and as a single variety. The wines are moderately aromatic, and tend to display nutty, citrusy characters with herbal notes.
Ideal wine for an aperitif, especially with fish dishes. It goes perfectly with various types of shellfish, seafood, crustaceans, mixed fried foods and most of the fish-based first courses.
