CANNONAU

CANNONAU – RED GRAPE FOR RED WINE The Cannonau grape is the most common black grape variety in Sardinia. Cannonau is a structured wine, with powerful tannins, low acidity and warmth. The bouquet is intense, and enveloping, with ample red fruits, red flowers, sweet spices, oregano and other aromatic herbs, myrtle, Mediterranean scrub and balsamic. On the palate it is intense and savory with low acidity and fine-grained tannins.

Cannonau wine goes perfectly with all the recipes of the Sardinian culinary tradition, especially with savory and aged cheeses, braised meats, game, roasts, and all preparations of suckling pig, lamb and wild boar.
