UVA DI TROIA
Uva di Troia is an ancient purple-skinned grape variety found in Puglia. It produces wines that are ruby red in color with violet reflections. The wines are generally dry with high alcohol, moderate acidity and pronounced tannins.
On the nose it reveals aromas of blackberries and licorice, with balsamic and herbaceous notes. On the palate it is full-bodied and warm, fruity and spicy, with hints of cedar wood.
Uva di Troia pairs well with traditional meat dishes, with savory or spicy preparations, as well as wild game dishes. Uva di Troia is excellent when served with dishes typical of the Puglia region, such as sweet and sour lamb.
