FATTORIA DELLA AIOLA
Not far from the city of Siena, in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine-growing region lies the historic winery Fattoria dell’Aiola. The 100 hectares of property around the village of Vagliagli are covered by vineyards, olive groves and woods. In the center stands the Aiola Villa with medieval origins, flanked by a modern production cellar. Respect for the territory and its traditions, many years of experience, and a commitment to the use of cutting-edge equipment, are the recipe for maintaining the prestige of the Aiola brand.
The Chianti Classico production area is the first in the world to have been established by law, with a Royal proclamation in 1716. The Chianti Classico DOCG is reserved for red wines produced in the oldest area of Chianti, between the provinces of Florence and Siena. In this area, medieval villages, castles, churches, abbeys, monasteries, farmhouses, villas follow one another in a fantastic landscape that enhances the industriousness and inventiveness of man; centuries of work have shaped the hills of this region and the alternation of vineyards with olive trees and woods creates a unique harmony in the world.
