CAPRESE SALAD

Caprese Salad is a typical dish from Campania. Mozzarella cheese (buffalo not cow's milk), tomato, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil (oregano optional) are the ingredients for a perfect salad to be enjoyed in spring and summer, as an appetizer or as a main course for a tasty lunch.

The freshness of the Caprese Salad pairs well with dry and light white wines as well as sparkling wines.

A highly recommended wine for this dish is certainly the Falanghina del Sannio DOP, a great white wine from Campania, which with its fruity, citrusy bouquet and its freshness, pairs very well with the taste of mozzarella.

For those who love bubbles, we recommend a Falanghina Spumante extra dry.

Also worth trying are pairings with Soave Classico DOC, which with its floral and fruity freshness, pairs very well with Caprese Salad.
