Varietal

60% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot, 10% Sagrantino

Wine Making

Grapes harvested mid September. Temperature controlled fermentation, medium length maceration with frequent pumping over and delestages, and a long time on the lees.

Aging

Aged 8-10 months in small oak barrels (barriques) and in the bottle for six months.

Alcohol 13% vol.

Tasting Notes

Impressive intensity and complexity, reminiscent of very ripe red fruit, currants and prunes. A wine with good body, smooth and velvety, very fine
