Nero d’Avola is Sicily’s most renowned indigenous red grape
variety, celebrated for its rich fruit character, balanced acidity and distinctive
Mediterranean personality. Grown in the elevated hills surrounding
Caltagirone, the grapes benefit from the area's Mediterranean climate,
significant diurnal temperature variation and mineral-rich soils, contributing to
freshness, structure and aromatic complexity.

Tasting Notes
Color: Deep ruby red with rich violet highlights. Aroma: Intense and
aromatic, with notes of black cherry, plum, blackberry and violet, accompanied
by subtle spice, notes of violets, Mediterranean herbs and hints of cocoa.
Palate: Rich, balanced and medium to full-bodied, with ripe dark fruit,
refreshing acidity, well-integrated tannins and a persistent, pleasantly savory
finish. Overall Style: Rich, structured and elegant, with the ripe fruit
character and Mediterranean warmth typical of Nero d’Avola balanced by the
freshness and mineral character of the Caltagirone area.
