NEBBIOLO
Nebbiolo is the quintessential Piedmontese wine grape. Wines are distinguished by their strong tannins and high acidity. When young, it has a ruby color, but quickly turns to garnet-orange. It smells of fruit and flowers, especially plums and violets. As it ages, it develops aromas of forest floor, mushrooms, truffles, dried leaves, tobacco and leather. Nebbiolo is an intense and deep wine, both on the nose and on the palate.Nebbiolo is perfect paired with charcuterie, aged cheeses, and meat dishes and it pairs equally well with delicate first courses such as risotto, or rich ones such as lasagna.
